Mirror Window Wall I, 2008
Anna Barriball’s work hinges on minimal interactions with objects and often steps between the parallel languages of drawing and sculpture. Her interventions produce objects that combine a minimalistic rigour and the seemingly endless endeavour to make sense of the world of objects by empirical study.
Mirror window Wall is made by placing cotton rag paper on a brick wall and soaking it in silver ink, left to dry, the paper takes on the contures of the brick beneath and when placed in this configuration of four it is suggestive of all the title suggests.
