Derwent London is pleased to be supporting Teenage Cancer Trust and Neuroblastoma UK at its biennial fundraising luncheon on 19 May 2016.

We have been in business for 30 years and, for the last 15 years, we have been actively supporting Teenage Cancer Trust.

This has involved hosting a series of fundraising lunches, helping develop a best practice guideline document for setting up new wards, introducing key architects and other design team members to the charity, sponsoring Teenage Cancer Trust’s fundraising concerts at the Royal Albert Hall for the past three years and establishing match-funding with our tenants. We have raised well over £1million for the charity.

This fundraising has helped Teenage Cancer Trust with the establishment of 28 special cancer units across the UK with 64 specialist nurses and youth workers transforming the lives of thousands of young cancer patients and their families. But we don’t want to stop there.

Teenage Cancer Trust remains the only UK charity dedicated to 13-24s with cancer, but for every young person they are able to reach there’s another they can’t. They are committed to reaching every young person with cancer by 2020 and Derwent London are helping them do just that.

This year we have also chosen to broaden our support to include a smaller charity, Neuroblastoma UK, and £25,000 raised will go direct to them. They are focused on scientific research into the cause of this childhood cancer which results in more children dying than surviving, a statistic which only research can change.
