The Angel Building is a striking six-storey remodeled and extended office building and will play an important role in regenerating the area. Inspired by the great modernists, Louis Kahn and Mies van der Rohe, the new design aims to provide a building better fitted to its surroundings. This has been cleverly achieved by re-using the old concrete frame, expanding the space inside and enclosing the courtyard to create a dramatic atrium. Around half of the office space has been pre-let to Cancer Research UK.
